who we are
The MAPS Academy of the Arts is a unique and talented group of creative artists who work at MAPS Global. Our goal is to teach and equip singers, musicians, & dancers to enrich neighborhoods and nations with their creativity. Whether it is expressed in a coffee shop here in Richmond or a missions base in the Middle East, our teachers desire to draw out and develop the creative giftings within our students to impact current or future spheres of influence.
PRIVATE lessons
To grow in the skill of playing an instrument or singing require time, dedication and coaching. Our teachers bring their collective experience of over 50 years, offering 30-minute private lessons on a weekly basis. Students of any experience are welcome and can expect to go through a curriculum tailored to their skill level.

ART CLASSES
The MAPS Academy is excited to now offer a 6-week art course called “Connecting with God through Creativity!”
This is an art studio class for exploring how God speaks to his children through different art mediums. No previous art experience necessary! As a group we will create a safe environment to listen to God's voice through imagery, symbols, color, line and design. Here are some of the requirements: a willingness to take risks, embracing a childlike faith during the process, and a desire to encounter the Holy Spirit's goodness. We will also learn some basic art principles and how art is prophetic.
