Singing Seminaries

In a little basement prayer room in the heart of Eurasia, indigenous voices join together and lift up a song in their own tongue. It is a sweet-smelling incense to the King of Kings. Years ago, this room had one or two indigenous locals lifting their voices to Jesus. Now, the majority of worshippers in the room are indigenous believers. They are joining their song with the new believers in the labor camps of the Arab Gulf and the song of the redeemed in the Levant. The worship swirls and joins the song of those in nomadic tribes of the Middle East who have been encountered by the “Man in White.” Across seven nations, this worship is being poured upon the feet of Jesus like precious oil. In each of these nations, MAPS Global has a missions base or is in the process of planting a missions base. Through this, MAPS is seeing worship and prayer break up hard ground for the planting of the Gospel in hearts across the world.

“She didn’t say what the illness was…she didn’t even ask for prayer. She just came on a Thursday night to the prayer room to participate in the worship and prayer, and she was praying for clean blood work. She went to the doctor, and her blood work came back clear,” testified the Director of the Eurasia Missions Base, of one local believer. “Prayer room times have been powerful…Indigenous believers initiated a community hangout, and there’s a strong connection despite language barriers. Three local people heard the Gospel and received Bibles during a past outreach. They later connected with a church and two became worship leaders there!”

As worship arises, the hearts of local indigenous believers are being ignited with love for their fellow people and a deep desire to share the Gospel. MAPS Global has training schools of prayer, worship and missions in the Middle East, the Levant, Eurasia and the Arab Gulf. The MAPS team in Eurasia pioneered the first indigenous training program. As only one of two seminary-level ministry training programs in the nation, the Eurasia team has trained 15 indigenous believers. In a similar manner, the Middle East training program has had 19 total indigenous believers go through their school so far, several of which have gone on to full-time vocational ministry. Joining these is the Levant team, which just launched their training program in 2026. They have 13 indigenous believers finding their voices in worship to Jesus through their part-time school. And last but not least, the Arab Gulf Missions Base - specifically designed to teach working men and women to host the presence of God in their prayer room - has trained 88 believers from all across the earth.

A song of worship continues to swell and rise. It has become stronger and louder as more and more voices are added to the chorus. As the little basement prayer room in the heart of Eurasia lifts up praise in the local tongue, new indigenous missionaries, trained and ready, carry the song to others. In the Middle East, the Levant and the Arab Gulf, more notes of worship ascend, and the voices converge into one song. That song prevails over the noise of the nations. It is a sweet-smelling incense to the King of Kings!
